View of the upper entrance of the Cave Savr on Mount Savr in Mecca city of Saudi Arabia. The Prophet Muhammed (saaw) and his friend Abu Bakr (ra) had got shut of the Meccan enemies tracking them by hidding three days in this cave with the great help of Allah (swt). Once the unbelieving enemies had come to the entrance of the cave but they returned without entering it. When the sound of their retreating steps and voices had died away, the Prophet and Abu Bakr went to the mouth of the cave. There over the entrance a spider had woven its web. They looked through the web, and there in the hollow of a rock, even where a man might step as he entered the cave, a rock dove had made a nesting place and was sitting close as if she had eggs, with her mate perched on a ledge not for above. (Sources: Le Prophéte de l`Islam, Muhammad Hamidullah; The Life Of Prophet, Abubakr Seracudden [Martin Lings], The Hijrah). In the Holy Koran our Lord Allah said about the Savr Cave: ``If ye help not (Muhammad), (it is no matter): for Allah did indeed help him, when the unbelievers drove him out: he had no more than one companion: they two were in the Cave, and he said to his companion, ``Have no fear for Allah is with us``: then Allah sent down His peace upon him, and strengthened him with forces which ye saw not, and humbled to the depths the word of the unbelievers. But the word of Allah is exalted to the heights: for Allah is Exalted in might, Wise.`` (The Holy Koran 9:40).
